The EZ-3 is a great cooker for up to a quart of food, which makes it a terrific cooker for kids and for singles or couples (make more than one to cook more kinds of food at once). It works well with cooking jars, but with a small 3-4 cup backpacker pot you can also bake treats like a small chocolate cake or pan of cornbread, a giant muffin, one big fat cookie, etc. (recipes will be going up on the recipe pages soon, now that I'm back from my writing conference). The EZ-3 is easy to make, easy to use, and it folds flat for compact transport and storage. For more info and pictures go to:

By the end of the year, I am hoping to self-publish a book with instructions for building and using the EZ-3, complete with lots of recipes. (SCA folks will be among the first to know as soon as the first copies come in.) Meanwhile, anyone with even a tad bit of experience cutting and gluing cookers can figure it out from what's already up on the web page, and some of the recipes will be going up soon in our wiki recipe section.
EZ-3 is a super cooker for kid projects, and could be very good for couples or people who live alone. Even for larger families it can be handy to have a smaller cooker for when you just need to cook a quart or less of veggies or rice something. It can even be modified to cook some things in the winter time, if the sky is clear.
Oh, and it makes super-duper fantastic solar coffee! Check it out, give it a try, and let me know if it works for you as well as it does for me and my project kids!
Regards,
