I finished my second Easy Lid, made as a memorial gift, complete with fabric/glue/beeswax treatment.
On Friday I cooked a complete meal with it to present with the cooker: Blueberry-Peach Compote, Turkey-Sausage Vegetable Soup with Sprouted Barley & Pulses, Multi-Grain Bread, and Brownies.
It's only my second full-size box cooker. I think it looks really cool, it is incredibly sturdy for being made of cardboard, and in the limited time I had to test it, it ran 10-15 degrees (F) hotter than my own Easy Lid. It's full title is The Leroy Lee Memorial Happy Sunshine Cooker. Elizabeth was very happy to get it. Wouldn't you know, today is her first day having it at home on her farm and it's been raining and cloudy all day! Makes me even gladder I took the time to cook her a whole meal in it on Friday!

IIRC, it was running at a steady 275F or even a bit over for hours,both empty and full of food, on good but probably not perfect cooking days (in late August, at 47 degrees north latitude) and without a front booster panel. It actually overcooked the fruit compote a little (tasted 'raisin-y' but not burnt) and the bread was beautifully browned.
I am so impressed with what the cloth/glue/wax treatment did for the whole thing that I want one with that finish myself, but I want to do it on an oven that's better and more efficient than my first Easy Lid (which I did paint with exterior latex to add some water/dew resistance), though I do love my Easy Lid, but I learned a lot making it and the Happy Sunshine version, so the next one will be even better. Your oven looks very interesting, too, btw, and I will probably get around to ordering the plans one of these days.
