|
|
Hello, after a long time of laziness we have finally got our solar cooker up and working. We live in India. We have cooked in it rice and baked potatoes succesfuly. The baked potatoes were extremely tasty and only took 3 hours to cook on a partly cloudy morning so I was happy with that.
I am thinking if I could introduce this cooker to some neighbours who cook on a fire and they have to buy wood and dont have high incomes.
But I am a bit unsure what to suggest they cook. Obviously rice is easy and water pastuerisation. But the Indian diet is so based on curries which are fried at least at the begininng. And local people are not really ready to change their long term dietry habits, dont usually like other types of food, and need their food to be spicy to like it.
Does anyone have ideas of what kind of recipies I could try out that may be suitable??
Thank you |

I would assume that the spices could be prepared as normal and added to the food, which could the be cooking in the solar cooker. We have some recipes here: http://solarcooking.wikia.com/recipes |
